If your registered flight is delayed by 2 hours or more within 24 hours of scheduled departure, you will receive a digital voucher.
What’s included
Eligible customers may receive a $40 AUD digital voucher, with options such as:
- Uber – for transport to or from the airport
- Woolworths – for meals, snacks or travel essentials
- TripGift – for accommodation, activities or car hire
You can choose the option that best fits your plans – whether you use it during your trip or once you’re back in Australia.
How TravelCare Delay Assist works
- Register your flights: Add your flight(s) and traveller details at least 24 hours before scheduled departure via the TravelCare Delay Assist portal.
- We monitor in real time: Our system keeps an eye on your flights, so there’s no need to check constantly.
- Get notified if delayed: If your flight is delayed by 2 hours or more in the 24 hours prior to scheduled departure, we’ll send you a link to choose your digital voucher.

What happens if your flight is delayed?
If your registered flight is delayed by 2 hours or more within 24 hours of departure:
- You’ll receive an SMS and/or email notification
- You’ll be invited to select a digital voucher, options are Uber, Woolworths or TripGift
- Use your voucher during your trip, or when you're back home in Australia

To access TravelCare Delay Assist:
- Flights must be registered at least 24 hours before scheduled departure
- All flights for all travellers on your policy must be registered
- You can register up to 10 flights for up to 8 named travellers on your policy. Registering allows us to monitor your flights and step in if needed. Add them once, and you’re set.

A benefit included with eligible SCTI International Comprehensive Single Trip policies from 1 July 2026. You register your flight details, we monitor your flights and notify you if an eligible delay occurs, offering a $40 digital voucher.
When do I need to register my flights?
At least 24 hours before your flights scheduled departure.
How will I be contacted?
Via SMS and/or email using the details you supplied when you registered.
What vouchers can I choose?
Digital vouchers from Uber, Woolworths or TripGift. You can use the digital vouchers during your trip or after you return home.
Does this replace or reduce my policy cover?
No, this is an additional benefit and does not impact your existing cover or policy entitlements.
Can I register multiple flights?
Yes, you can add up to 10 flights and add up to 8 eligible travellers when you register.
*TravelCare Delay Assist is a benefit included within your SCTI International Comprehensive Single Trip policy. You must register your eligible flight details at least 24 hours before the scheduled departure. A delay must meet the minimum threshold (2 hours or more) to trigger benefits, and occur within the 24-hour period prior to its scheduled departure time. Customers will be notified via the SMS and email address provided during registration. Customers can register up to 10 flights for a maximum of 8 travellers who must be named on the policy. Customers will need to have activated roaming or have access to Wi-Fi to receive an SMS and/or email. Please read the TravelCare Delay Assist SPDS.
**Digital vouchers entitlement is per person on the policy subject to a total policy limit of $640. Individual vouchers are not issued.
